I care about making people’s lives easier with technology.

Motivated by simplifying tasks, reducing friction in decision making, and steering the business to profits through ease of use.

I discovered UX after years of leading multiple teams for a major department store as a
Fashion Director & Head of Research and Development.

My passion is the combination of empathy, functionality, and technology.

I love when things work, are simple, and look great!

A little about me …

  • What's unique about you?
I am very strategic and creative. I enjoy thinking of new ways to connect ideas and solve problems. I am a fast talker who thinks quick and is very detailed.

  • What's your background?
How did you get into this field? How does your current discipline relate to your previous experience?

I have a degree in apparel and grew up around a family with backgrounds in industrial design, influencing design in my own life. I refer to myself as a multi-hyphenated person. My past experiences have provided me with some of the most diverse and exclusive experiences, professionally. I am a problem solver who can react effectively and with a sense of urgency.

I discovered my interest in UX when researching careers focused on strategy, empathy, and product development.

My current projects require me to communicate an impactful visual message; develop, organize, develop a strategy, and create an outcome. I have to plan for “breakdowns” and organize many moving pieces with a quick response. I found I have developed transferable skills from being a head of R&D, that are useful for UX. Within both of those careers, my goal has been to solve the presented problems and produce an ROI for the business.

  • What are your aims and goals? How do you see yourself developing in this role?
My aim is to work collaboratively with a team to produce a product - grounded in great research that makes the users lives easier and better.

  • What opportunities are you looking for?

An opportunity that fits with my aims and goals, that would positively impact the business. I am attracted to the energy of a start-up in any industry; or a large UX team in banking, health, or government.

  • What are your interests in this field? What makes you want to do this every day?
I am happiest when I experience an app or website that is intuitive and works flawlessly. I want to bring that joy and ease of technology to older users or physically challenged people. I am intrigued by people and why they take the actions they take or decide what they do. If I do that everyday and get to impact their lives, then I am fulfilled.
